Kornić is a small place located about 5 km from the town of Krk and about 3 km from Punat.
From the town of Kornić there is a beautiful view of Puntarska draga, a sea bay in the middle of which is the islet of Košljun. The nearest beach Dunat was named after the church of St. Dunata dating from the 12th century, located next to the beach.
The church was built in the 12th century, in the Romanesque period, as a central building in the shape of a trefoil with a dome. It received its title according to the Zadar bishop and saint Donat, as an obviously strong Zadar influence on the island in the 12th century. Today, only the reconstructed remains of the church have been preserved, as it was destroyed in 1945 in an explosion of an ammunition depot located near it.
Dunat Beach is 700 meters from the town center. On Dunat beach there is a restaurant, diving center, beach volleyball and various bars. For all fans of adrenaline sports, there is also Wakebording Cable Krk.
Due to its accessibility and location, the beach is ideal for families with children. Kornić offers guests an active vacation on marked hiking trails with beautiful views of the sea and landscaped ancient olive groves.
