Beaches in Baska island Krk

Baska is also known for one of the largest and most beautiful natural pebble beaches on the Adriatic, Vela plaza, with a semicircle length of more than 1,800 meters. Naturally fine sand especially allows non-swimmers and children to enjoy the beach, as the depth of the sea gradually increases.

Since 1999, the European Blue Flag has been flying on Baška's Vela plaza, which is still a trademark of Baska as proof of the high quality and standard of the beach. The blue flag was awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe (Feee), and symbolizes a preserved, safe and pleasant environment, clean sea and coast. On the beach it is possible to rent pedal boats, surfboards, parasols, deck chairs and other beach equipment needed for a pleasant holiday. The beaches encouraged the development of tourism in Baska back in 1908, when the first beach on the island of Krk was officially opened.

In addition to Vela plaza, Baska is adorned with about thirty other beaches, the most famous of which are Vela luka and Mala luka, the beach in FKK camp Bunculuka, then the beaches Konjska, Vrženica, Jablanovo, Storisce and Dubna.

Many beaches can be reached on foot, but some can only be reached by boat or taxi boat. However, with their remoteness, they give the possibility of solitary enjoyment in the crystal blue of our Adriatic Sea.

Warm Mediterranean climate, plenty of sun, untouched nature will allow you to spend an unforgettable summer on our Baska beaches.
